Customer runs B2C fulfillment for a leading sports brand at their warehouse in Delhi NCR. They faced challenges in scaling its parcel sorting operations to accommodate both seasonable variations of around 40% (peak and BAU) and around 20% annual demand increase. You can only add so many people before the floor runs out of room and room runs out of margin.
Unbox deployed 15 SR450 robots in 3454 square feet. Each robot handles 48 sort destinations, and talks directly to their client's WMS and Carrier Management System, so manifesting happens at the point of sort, not after it. Operational efficiency went up by more than 25%. Three associates run the floor. When their client volumes spike, they add robots. When they drop, it scales back. No layout changes. No capital write-offs. The site went live in 3 to 4 weeks.
