When Leading Turkish e-commerce platform opened a new greenfield fulfillment center in Istanbul, they needed a sortation system that could handle 11,500 items per batch across 1,680 orders on a mezzanine packed with pillars and ducting. Their previous two-step manual process was producing mis-sorts and accumulating delays at packing stations. Standard conveyor-based solutions could not fit the space.
Unbox deployed 105 SR550 robots across 3 modular sortation units, all within 6717 sq ft on the existing mezzanine. The process went from two sorting steps to one. Throughput reached 11,500 parcels per hour at 100% accuracy. Productivity went up 3X and uptime held at 98.5%. The entire site was live in 8 to 10 weeks on the ground. Customer is now evaluating further expansion.
